Rachel is a Canadian artist working from her home studio close to Toronto.

“My work often uses the format of a series or layering to signify movement and time, the blurring or erasure suggests form but asserts accumulation over resolution, there is an aspect of both dismissal and persistence. The process of transforming photographic references into drawings or paintings explores the conversion of the real world into a digital image and then reasserts it through the physical process of drawing or painting back into the tangible world to explore the influences on perception.”
